24 Economische evaluaties in de eerstelijnsgezondheidszorg

Samenvatting

Door de toenemende vergrijzing en de groei van technologische mogelijkheden neemt de vraag naar gezondheidszorg toe. De financiële middelen die beschikbaar zijn voor de gezondheidszorg zijn echter beperkt. Er moeten dus keuzes gemaakt worden welke medische behandelingen wel en niet vergoed worden vanuit het basispakket. Economische evaluaties geven informatie over de relatieve efficiëntie van (para)medische interventies. Dat wil zeggen dat de kosten en effecten van twee of meer interventies tegen elkaar worden afgewogen.
