Samenvatting

Mensen met schizofrenie geven dikwijls bij behandelaars aan dat zij behoefte hebben aan contact met lotgenoten. Belangrijke redenen zijn de eenzaamheid en het beperkte sociale leven van deze mensen. De behoefte om ervaringen te delen met anderen is heel duidelijk aanwezig. Patiëntenvereniging Anoiksis komt voor een deel aan deze behoefte tegemoet, maar toch lijkt een groot deel van de betrokkenen lotgenotencontact te ontberen. Het ontplooien van initiatieven om hieraan concreet iets te doen, is voor velen een te grote belasting. Het structureel organiseren en leiden van groepsbesprekingen door ervaringsdeskundigen zelf komt niet of moeilijk van de grond. Het ligt daarom voor de hand dat de discipline die zorg verleent aan de genoemde doelgroep, deze taak op zich neemt voor hen die deze contacten zelf niet kunnen organiseren.
