Samenvatting

Bij de ziekte van Sever is er sprake van een overbelasting van de groeischijf van het hielbeen, waardoor kinderen hielpijn hebben, vaak tijdens en na beweging (sporten). Het komt vooral voor in de leeftijd 7–15 jaar. De ziekte van Sever (ook wel calcaneal apophysitis genoemd) is de meest voorkomende hielpijn bij kinderen.
