Samenvatting

Het naslaan van Engelstalige tekstboeken op het gebied van de interne geneeskunde, chirurgie en gastro-enterologie, levert een eenduidig advies op over de behandeling van acute diverticulitis (1-3). Complicaties als abcesvorming, perforatie en peritonitis maken chirurgisch ingrijpen noodzakelijk.
