Samenvatting

Als je weet welke klachten de cliënt heeft, hoe dissociatie kan worden geclassificeerd, en je hebt de klachten en problemen met diagnostische instrumenten goed onderzocht, kun je met alle informatie tot een goed behandeladvies komen. Je bespreekt eerst je bevindingen met je cliënt en legt uit welke vormen van behandeling er zijn voor de problemen waar je cliënt mee worstelt. Je vertelt over de onderbouwing van de behandeling, die is gebaseerd op wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Je kunt je in je advies laten leiden door de richtlijnen en zorgstandaarden die zijn ontwikkeld. Uiteindelijk besluit je samen met de cliënt welke behandeling hij gaat volgen.
