Samenvatting

In dit hoofdstuk wordt de Affective Neuroscience (AN) van Jaak Panksepp gerelateerd aan de bekende temperaments- en persoonlijkheidsmodellen. Daarbij gaan we in het bijzonder in op het Vijf Factoren Model, ook wel Big 5-model genoemd, en een neurobiologische uitwerking daarvan, genaamd de Cybernetics Big 5 Theory (CB5T). Het AN-model blijkt een goede neurobiologische onderbouwing te geven aan het Vijf Factoren Model en toont een opvallende compatibiliteit met het CB5T.
