Therapists, school counselors, group leaders, and other professionals helping children and teenagers sort through their emotional and psychological pain, have a desire to provide or reference reading materials that would benefit the population they serve. Options may be limited, however, as most of the literature and professional materials in this area are written from an adult perspective, because these are perceived to be in a higher demand than are publications written for young people. However, adult oriented material may not always be effective for helping young people improve their lives, so having material oriented to children and teenagers would seem to be a sensible option. …
