Samenvatting

In 2007 startte op initiatief van de NVvP het onderzoeksprogramma ‘Katalysator voor podotherapie en wetenschap’. Dit artikel gaat over het onderzoek naar tijdsintervallen in het verwijstraject bij patiënten met een diabetisch voetulcus. De zorg bestaat dat vertraging (delay) bij patiënten zelf of bij zorgverleners negatieve invloed heeft op de wondgenezing. Dit project geeft inzicht in tijdsaspecten van het verwijs- en behandeltraject en biedt kansen ter verbetering van de diabetische voetzorg.
