MPFL-repair bij een patiënt met patellaire tilt zonder patellaluxatie

Samenvatting

Een ruptuur van het mediale patellofemorale ligament (MPFL) ontstaat doorgaans na een (traumatische) laterale patellaluxatie. Er staat veel in de literatuur beschreven over mogelijke conservatieve en chirurgische behandelin-gen. De meest geadviseerde techniek is het herstellen van de anatomie van de mediale structuren met een autograft. Deze casus toont een ongewone presentatie van een MPFL-ruptuur. De casus toont dat het primair herstellen van het MPFL door middel van hechten een succesvolle therapeutische optie kan zijn.
