samenvatting

Mindful parenting is een nieuwe behandelmethode voor ouders die stress ervaren in de opvoeding, ouders van kinderen met psychopathologie en ouders met eigen psychopathologie die het opvoeden in de weg staat. De training is afgeleid van anderemindfulness-trainingen en kan worden omschreven als ‘opvoeden met aandacht’. Uit onderzoek naar de effectiviteit van de training blijkt dat na de training de internaliserende en externaliserende klachten van zowel de ouders als kinderen zijn afgenomen. Tevens zijn positieve effecten gevonden op de opvoedingsstijl van ouders en ervaren ouders na de training significant minder opvoedingsstress.
