26 Fecale incontinentie

Samenvatting

De incontinentieklachten zijn geleidelijk begonnen. De eerste tekenen deden zich vijf jaar geleden voor, tijdens een vakantie in het buitenland. De patiënte had toen diarree die niet op te houden was. Na deze eerste gebeurtenis deden zich in toenemende mate periodes voor waarin zij ontlasting verloor. Aanvankelijk gebeurde dat alleen wanneer zij diarree had, maar in de jaren daarna verloor zij ook vaste ontlasting. De hoeveelheid ontlasting die de patiënte verloor was fors en zij moest zich telkens verschonen. Het probleem doet zich inmiddels vrijwel dagelijks voor.
