Kristalartritis is een reumatische aandoening die ontstaat wanneer er kristallen neerslaan in een gewricht. Onder kristalartritis vallen verschillende aandoeningen zoals jicht en pseudojicht. Hoewel beide aandoeningen artritis tot gevolg hebben, worden ze veroorzaakt door verschillende kristallen. Jicht kenmerkt zich door natriumuraatkristallen in de synoviale vloeistof en pseudojicht door calciumpyrofosfaat(CPPD)-kristallen in het synoviaal vocht [1-3]. …
