Samenvatting

Het produceren van spraak is een complex gebeuren waarin verschillende processen op elkaar afgestemd moeten worden. Naast de cognitieve en linguïstische vaardigheden waarmee onze intenties in een talige structuur kunnen worden omgezet (Maassen & Van Lieshout, 1998), beschikken mensen over het vermogen om de aldus geformuleerde boodschap hoorbaar en zichtbaar te maken.

De motorunit wordt gedefinieerd als een motorische zenuwcel (lower motor neuron) en de via haar axonverbinding geïnnerveerde motorische eindplaatjes en de daarbij behorende (extrafusale) spiervezels.

Bij oppervlakte emg bestaat er een grote variëteit in type elektroden. Voor spraakonderzoek is het van belang dat de elektrode zo min mogelijk interfereert met spraakproductie. Bolvormige elektroden of elektroden met een klein meetoppervlak zijn daarvoor het meest geschikt.

De dat–recorder biedt eigenlijk een combinatie van analoog (drager) en digitaal (conversietechniek).
