9 Mediale kniepijn, vooral in rust optredend, bij een 65-jarige vrouw

Samenvatting

Al tien jaar had deze sportieve vrouw regelmatig pijn aan de mediale zijde van haar rechterknie. De pijn trad vooral op nadat zij enige tijd gelopen of gefietst had. Als zij na een lange wandeling rustig op een stoel zat, of de nacht erna in bed lag, ontstond er een zeurende pijn. Aangezien het haar bij haar dagelijkse bezigheden niet hinderde, besteedde ze er weinig aandacht aan. Als zij na tien jaar de huisarts bezoekt voor een ander probleem, brengt zij de kniepijn terloops ter sprake. De huisarts laat een röntgenfoto maken, maar deze toont geen afwijkingen. Vervolgens stuurt hij haar voor een diagnostisch consult naar de fysiotherapeut.
