Observations on Dutch Youth Policy

Samenvatting

Het Nederlands Jeugdinstituut en de VNG namen recentelijk het initiatief om een internationale groep van experts het Nederlands jeugdbeleid eens kritisch te laten bekijken. De experts, afkomstig uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Finland en België, werden rondgeleid in Gouda en Oss, en ze werden geïnformeerd over de beweging om het risicogeoriënteerde jeugdbeleid te transformeren naar een positief jeugdbeleid.

Lasse Siurala, voormalig hoofd van de Directie Sport en Jeugd bij de Raad van Europa en sinds een aantal jaren directeur Jeugd bij de stad Helsinki, is een regelmatige gast in ons tijdschrift. Het lag dan ook voor de hand hem te vragen een beschrijving te geven wat de experts in Nederland aantroffen en wat hun aanbevelingen zijn.
