Welke psychotherapie is het meest effectief bij een depressie? Het oordeel van de Dodo

Abstract

Onderzoek laat zien dat de effecten van de verschillende psychotherapievormen bij depressies even groot zijn. Mogelijk is dit gegeven te verklaren doordat de effecten tot stand komen door non–specifieke factoren, die in elke therapie een rol spelen. Aan de andere kant is er nog weinig bekend over welke therapie bij welke patiënten het meeste effect heeft. Wel is het duidelijk dat de vorm en omvang van de psychotherapieën sterk gewijzigd kunnen worden zonder dat dit ten koste gaat van de effecten.
