Samenvatting

Betrokkenheid van de cervicale wervelkolom (CWK) bij reumatoïde artritis (RA) komt veel voor en is geassocieerd met lokale ontsteking en destructie van gewrichten en ligamenten (1). Hierbij gaat het in 50-70% van de gevallen om cervicale instabiliteit op basis van anterieure atlantoaxiale subluxatie (AAS) door destructie en/of laxiteit van het ligamentum transversum en alarium.
