Informatie aan patiënten over grote en kleine cardiovasculaire risico’s

Samenvatting

Cijfers winnen steeds meer terrein in de huisartsgeneeskunde. Een voorbeeld is de risicocalculator voor hart- en vaatziekten in de NHG-standaard Cardiovasculair Risicomanagement. Met een risicocalculator kan het risicoprofiel van een patiënt worden berekend. Er komt bijvoorbeeld uit dat een patiënt 22% kans heeft om in de komende tien jaar tijd een hart- of vaatziekte te krijgen.
