Incidentanalyse bij symmetrisch relationeel geweld

Een diagnostisch en therapeutisch instrument in partnerrelatietherapie

Samenvatting

Dit artikel gaat over hoe bij de Ambulante Forensische Psychiatrie Noord Nederland (AFPN) in Groningen een (index)incidentanalyse diagnostisch en therapeutisch ingezet wordt bij de behandeling van paren die kampen met symmetrisch relationeel geweld. Eerst wordt het verband tussen relationeel geweld en gehechtheid toegelicht en de doelgroep die baat heeft bij partnerrelatietherapie (PRT) afgebakend. De relatie tussen angst, agressie en gehechtheid wordt geschetst. Het doel van een incidentanalyse en een mogelijke werkwijze worden beschreven. Daarnaast maak ik duidelijk hoe zo’n analyse kan helpen bij de diagnostiek in relatie tot gehechtheid en hoe met de analyse tegelijk een begin gemaakt wordt met de therapie. Daarbij wordt aandacht besteed aan de specifieke kenmerken van de problematiek en de doelgroep.
