9. Het foetale ECG als intrapartum bewakingsmethode

Samenvatting

Sinds de introductie van het cardiotocogram (CTG) is het aantal interventies vanwege vermeende foetale nood enorm gestegen, terwijl lange-termijn follow-up studies nauwelijks neonatale verbetering hebben laten zien1,2. De specificiteit van het CTG is slecht en de beoordeling is onderhevig aan inter- en intra-observer variatie3.
