Samenvatting

Wereldwijd dwingen maatschappelijke en politieke ontwikkelingen zorgprofessionals en zorgorganisaties tot een evidence-based praktijkvoering.1,2,3) Volgens Pickering en Thompson4) is de reden voor deze ontwikkeling de ervaren daling in de kwaliteit van zorg. Bovendien is er een groeiend bewustzijn van de kwetsbaarheid van de kennisbasis door het ontbreken van robuuste, gedegen evidence voor de onderbouwing van besluitvorming en acties in de praktijk.
