Een ultrakorte systemische interventie voor de behandeling van psychische gezondheidssymptomen bij kinderen

Samenvatting

In dit artikel presenteren wij een klinische benadering voor onbehandelde psychische gezondheidsproblemen bij kinderen. Deze benadering is gebaseerd op tientallen jaren onderzoek naar gezinssystemen, co-ouderschap en de ontwikkeling van kinderen. We bespreken met name de Lausanne Family Play – Brief Intervention (LFP-B), een geprotocolleerde gezinssysteembenadering voor verzorger-verzorger-kind-therapie (en broers en zussen indien van toepassing). LFP‑B is een zeer korte benadering met meestal maar drie sessies (twee assessmentsessies en een video-feedbacksessie), met als doel het verminderen van de symptomatologie van het kind door het versterken van de co-ouderrelatie. We kijken naar de literatuur over systemische gezinstherapieën en geven de rationale voor het betrekken van co-ouders en kinderen bij de behandeling in de jeugd-ggz. Daarna geven we een rationale voor het gebruik van gedragsobservaties en video-feedback in de behandeling, waarbij we ons baseren op onderzoek naar vergelijkbare gezinsgerichte behandelingen (bijv. ouder-kind-therapieën). Tot slot geven we een overzicht van het LFP-B-protocol en presenteren een casusvoorbeeld.

Voor dit casusvoorbeeld zijn de namen en identificeerbare informatie zijn gewijzigd. Het transcript is van één feedbacksessie, maar dit voorbeeld is een samenvoeging van verschillende klinische casussen in het behandelcentrum om het model het beste weer te geven en de privacy van de cliënt te beschermen.
