Samenvatting

Ook vóór de introductie van echoscopie in de verloskunde werden al invasieve diagnostische en therapeutische procedures verricht bij zwangeren. Dit werd soms ‘blind’ gedaan, met alleen palpatie, zoals bij amniodrainages ter behandeling van polyhydramnion, of op gevoel, zoals bij de eerste vlokkentests in China.
