Samenvatting

Spreken en spraakverstaan zijn processen van informatieverwerking waarin conceptuele inhouden worden omgezet in spraak en vice versa. Van oudsher hebben met name de taalkunde, met inbegrip van de fonologie en de fonetiek, en de medische wetenschappen, onder meer de foniatrie en de neurologie, zich beziggehouden met taal, spraak, communicatie en taal– en spraakpathologie.

Motor unit = motorische zenuwcel, de via haar axonverbinding geïnnerveerde motorische eindplaatjes en de daarbij behorende extrafusale spiervezels (Zemlin, 1988).

Onder propriocepsis wordt de feedback verstaan die wordt gegenereerd door met name de spierspoeltjes (spierlengte) en Golgi–peesorgaantjes (snelheid van verandering in rek). Daarnaast kan informatie vanuit gewrichts– en huidsensoren nog een rol spelen (Zemlin, 1988).
