Samenvatting

De anesthesioloog gebruikt op de operatiekamer veel verschillende apparaten. In dit hoofdstuk wordt allereerst het anesthesietoestel besproken. Daarna komen verwarmings-, bevochtigings- en infusieapparatuur aan bod. Andere apparatuur wordt in de desbetreffende hoofdstukken besproken. Hoewel bewakingsapparatuur ook deel uitmaakt van het anesthesietoestel, worden de principes daarvan in H. 4 behandeld. Het anesthesietoestel is een complexe verzameling apparaten. In essentie heeft het drie componenten: een systeem om het inademingsgas samen te stellen, een patiëntencircuit om het samengestelde gas bij de patiënt te brengen en een beademingsmachine.
