Abstract

Wie kent het niet als ic-verpleegkundige? Je patiënt is enorm geagiteerd en niet comfortabel. Of juist het tegenovergestelde: je patiënt reageert nauwelijks. Mogelijk als gevolg van oversedatie. Dagelijkse situaties waarbij de ultieme uitdaging steeds weer is: hoe zorg ik ervoor dat mijn patiënt optimaal gesedeerd is. In dit artikel beschrijven we hoe je dit objectief kunt meten bij kinderen en hoe scores in sedatiemanagement geïntegreerd kunnen worden.
