Addendum: achillespeestendinose: de meest recente inzichten

Samenvatting

Chronische blessures van de achillespees worden meestal veroorzaakt door een degeneratief proces van het peesweefsel. Een dergelijk degeneratief proces wordt tendinose genoemd. Vooral langeafstandhardlopers lopen een verhoogd risico; bij langeafstandhardlopers is de meest voorkomende blessure een achillespeestendinose gevolgd door anterieure kniepijn en shin splint.
