B Feces – Obstipatie en incontinentieproblemen

Samenvatting

Kinderen met obstipatie en/of incontinentie voor feces worden regelmatig doorverwezen naar een kinderfysiotherapeut of bekkenfysiotherapeut met specifieke kennis op dit gebied. Obstipatie bij kinderen is een veelvoorkomend en vaak pas later onderkend probleem dat op alle leeftijden voorkomt. Een systematische review toonde een prevalentie van obstipatie op de kinderleeftijd variërend van 0,7% in westerse tot 29,6% in niet-westerse landen.1
