15 De tricuspidalisklep

Samenvatting

De tricuspidalisklepring is de grootste van de vier klepringen. De klep bestaat uit drie klepbladen: het septale (of mediale), het anterior (of anterosuperior) en het posterior (of inferior) klepblad (fig. 15.1). De tricuspidalisklep onderscheidt zich niet alleen door het aantal klepbladen van de mitralisklep, maar ook door de wijze van bevestiging. De chordae van de mitralisklep hechten aan aan twee papillairspierkoppen, die van de tricuspidalisklep hechten aan veel meer spierkopjes aan, maar ook direct aan het septum. De klep bevindt zich iets dieper in de RV dan de mitralisklep in de LV.
