Samenvatting

Ondanks een goede voorbereiding van de reis en het nemen van preventieve maatregelen kan de reiziger tijdens zijn verblijf in het buitenland een gezondheisprobleem krijgen waarvoor hij een beroep moet doen op zorg in een lokale medische instelling (schatting: één op vijfhonderd) en/of assistentie vanuit het thuisland (schatting: één op tienduizend).
