4. Verpleegkundig leiderschap in de praktijk

Samenvatting

Dit hoofdstuk schetst hoe je een leiderschapsrol in je eigen team kunt vervullen. Wat voor een soort team zijn jullie eigenlijk en hoe kun je leiderschap tonen in jullie team? We laten zien wat er nodig is om jouw team optimaal te laten presteren en wat de invloed is van de organisatiecultuur op kwaliteitsverbetering en zorguitkomsten. Daarnaast beschrijven we hoe verpleegkundig leiderschap in de organisatie verankerd kan worden. Nadat we eerst toelichten wat we verstaan onder de term ‘leren’, gaan we nader in op het leren van individuen en het inrichten van de werkplek als leerplek. Aan de hand van een casus laten we zien hoe binnen een zorginstelling, door het inrichten van een lerende werkomgeving, verpleegkundig leiderschap werd geïmplementeerd. We sluiten het hoofdstuk af met een paragraaf over ‘veranderen’ en over de daarbij vaak optredende weerstand. Hoe ga je als verpleegkundig leider hiermee om?
