Abstract

The temporal lobe comprises the lateral, inferior, and medial aspects of the cerebral hemispheres. Four sulci divide the temporal lobe into five gyri, one of which is the parahippocampal gyrus (T5). Included in the temporal lobe is the hippocampus, which is also part of the limbic system.
