81. Ringworm van het hoofd/tinea capitis

Kenmerkend voor tinea capitis zijn een of meer kale plekken met afgebroken haren op het behaarde hoofd, bedekt met grijswitte schilfers.
De aandoening kan op iedere leeftijd voorkomen, maar treft vooral kinderen < 11 jaar.
Bij beperkte erupties volstaat lokale behandeling met een imidazolpreparaat.
Bij uitgebreide erupties is systemische behandeling met terbinafine of itraconazol noodzakelijk.
Tinea capitis is besmettelijk door verspreiding van besmette huidschilfers.
