Samenvatting

In de meeste gevallen kan de diagnose van een leveraandoening gesteld worden aan de hand van een combinatie van een zorgvuldige anamnese, een gericht klinisch onderzoek, bloedonderzoek, beeldvorming en soms een leverbiopsie. Leverziekten kunnen diverse orgaansystemen aantasten, dit is de reden dat afwijkingen verspreid over het hele lichaam gevonden kunnen worden.
