Niet-farmacologische interventies voor slaapproblemen

Wat vertellen systematische reviews over hun werkzaamheid?

Samenvatting

In welk werkveld een verpleegkundige ook werkt, vrijwel altijd wordt zij of hij geconfronteerd met patiënten met slaapproblemen en de gevolgen daarvan. Uit onderzoek1) is gebleken dat verpleegkundige interventies voor slaapproblemen nauwelijks evidence-based zijn. Niet-farmacologische interventies voor slaapproblemen zouden mogelijk door verpleegkundigen als een veilig alternatief voor slaapmedicatie kunnen worden aangeboden. Door middel van een meta-review is de werkzaamheid van een groot aantal van deze interventies beschouwd.
