Multidimensionele familietherapie in West-Europa voor jongeren met cannabisproblemen

Samenvatting

Dit artikel gaat over een behandelprogramma voor adolescenten die verslavingsgedrag vertonen en vaak ook ander probleemgedrag: multidimensionele familietherapie (MDFT). Het is inmiddels effectief bevonden in Europees onderzoek. In enkele jaren tijd zijn al veel Europese teams van therapeuten getraind in het toepassen van MDFT. De implementatie van MDFT verloopt voorspoedig, maar er waren ook heel wat obstakels, die ik hier kort beschrijf. Voor innovatie van behandelpraktijken is onderzoek nodig, maar meer nog een systematische implementatieaanpak, liefst internationaal georiënteerd.
