Samenvatting

Het mastocytoom is een goedaardige huidafwijking met lokale ophoping van mestcellen. Het is een geel- of roodbruine ovale, iets verheven gepigmenteerde plaque, papel of macula tot vijf centimeter. Na mestcelactivatie treden lokale zwelling, roodheid en jeuk op. Deze activatie kan spontaan optreden of na triggers zoals hard wrijven (teken van Darier), plotselinge temperatuurverandering, inspanning en stress.
