Hypertrofische littekens en keloïd zijn overmatige bindweefselproliferaties van de huid, meestal ontstaan na een huidtrauma.
Deze proliferaties komen vaker voor bij personen met een donkere huid (vooral Afrikaans of Aziatisch huidtype).
Het lokaal aanbrengen van een siliconen- of hydrocolloïdpleister is mogelijk effectief.
Intralaesionale corticosteroïdinjecties zijn in veel gevallen effectief.
