Samenvatting

Hoesten is het pathofysiologische verschijnsel waarbij het kind eerst diep inademt, vervolgens de glottis sluit en thoracale en abdominale spieren aanspant, en ten slotte de glottis snel en stootsgewijs opent waarbij lucht op explosieve wijze ontsnapt.
