Samenvatting

Polythelie is de aanwezigheid van extra tepels. De extra tepels zijn bij de geboorte al aanwezig. Ze bevinden zich meestal caudaal van de normale tepels of axillair, maar kunnen overal langs de melklijsten voorkomen. De melklijsten lopen bilateraal van de liezen tot aan de oksels. Extra tepels kunnen zowel unilateraal als bilateraal voorkomen en zijn vaak kleiner dan de normale tepel.
