Gespecialiseerde traumabehandeling binnen een residentiële jeugdzorginstelling

Samenvatting

Binnen de residentiële jeugdzorg verblijven vermoedelijk veel vroegkinderlijk, chronisch getraumatiseerde en onveilig gehechte kinderen. Kennis vanuit een gespecialiseerd traumacentrum kan helpen deze kinderen binnen de residentiële jeugdzorg te herkennen en goed te behandelen. Dit artikel beschrijft hoe die gespecialiseerde traumabehandeling, die voor deze kinderen lastig toegankelijk is, binnen de residentiële jeugdzorg vorm kan krijgen. In dit artikel wordt over ‘kinderen’ gesproken waar het om vroegkinderlijk, chronisch getraumatiseerde kinderen gaat, en over ‘behandelaar’ waar TRTC behandelaar wordt bedoeld.
