De relatie tussen gezondheid en leefstijl en arbeidsproductiviteit

SAMENVATTING

Door arbodiensten wordt steeds meer gewerkt aan betrouwbare en relevante gegevens die leiden tot gerichte advisering aan organisaties ten behoeve van hun productiviteit. De centrale vraag is wat de invloed is van gezondheid en risicofactoren op de arbeidsproductiviteit van gezonde werknemers.
Door middel van een vragenlijstonderzoek bij 426 werknemers die deelnamen aan PMO, is onderzocht of verminderde productiviteit gerelateerd is aan ervaren gezondheid. Tevens is gekeken naar een verband tussen leefstijlkenmerken en arbeidsproductiviteit.
Een significante relatie werd gevonden tussen ervaren gezondheid en werkbeperkingen in vier werkdomeinen: tijdmanagement, fysieke belasting, mentaal/interpersoonlijke activiteiten en totale productie. Er werd geen significante relatie gevonden tussen ervaren werkbeperkingen en leefstijlkenmerken.
