Samenvatting

In het kader van de bijzondere tandheelkunde worden soms ook werkstukken gemaakt die niet tandheelkundig zijn. Dat komt doordat technici MFP over een bijzondere expertise beschikken. Deze in de maxillofaciale prothe-tiek gespecialiseerde tandtechnici zijn soms uitsluitend in het tandtechnisch laboratorium actief, soms ook zijn ze én technisch én klinisch bezig. In dit laatste geval worden ze als maxillofaciaal protheticus aangeduid.
