Kernpunten

  • Het bijtfibroom is een niet-pijnlijke, stevige of zachte goedaardige verdikking van het bindweefsel in de mond.
  • Het bijtfibroom ontstaat vrijwel altijd door mechanische irritatie.
  • Het bijtfibroom is over het algemeen onschuldig.
  • In geval van twijfel zijn excisie en weefselonderzoek aangewezen.
