Besenreiservarices zijn verwijde kleine oppervlakkige vaten in de huid die gelijkenis vertonen met een ouderwetse takkenbezem of heksenbezem.
Besenreiservarices beperken zich vrijwel altijd tot de onderste extremiteiten.
Ze hebben geen hemodynamische betekenis en kennen geen complicaties. Meestal zijn ze asymptomatisch, soms cosmetisch bezwaarlijk.
Indien behandeling gewenst is, komen sclerotherapie of lasertherapie het meest in aanmerking.
