Hypertensie komt vaker voor bij specifieke etnische groepen. In dit artikel bespreken we de belangrijkste verschillen tussen etnische groepen in Nederland, en een aantal mogelijke oorzaken hiervoor. We bespreken enkele behandelaspecten en de invloed van het patiëntenperspectief op de behandeling en de therapietrouw. Tot slot doen we aanbevelingen om in de communicatie beter aan te sluiten bij de achtergrond van de patiënt. …
