17. Actinische keratose

Kernpunten

De prevalentie van actinische keratose onder de Nederlandse bevolking van ≥ 50 jaar is naar schatting 29 % voor mannen en 19 % voor vrouwen.
Het risico op maligne ontaarding wordt laag ingeschat, maar wordt aanzienlijk naarmate er sprake is van meerdere en langer bestaande laesies.
Cryotherapie en 5-fluoro-uracilcrème zijn effectieve behandelopties voor respectievelijk een beperkt aantal actinische keratosen of zogenoemde veldbehandeling bij een groter gebied met multipele laesies.
Een afwachtend beleid is te overwegen in het geval van een kleine solitaire, door de patiënt goed controleerbare laesie zonder klachten.
