Samenvatting

Een sinus pilonidalis is een harenbevattende cyste op het midden van het sacrum. In het Latijn betekent pilus ‘haartje’ en nidus ‘nest’. Sinus pilonidalis wordt daarom ook wel een haarnestcyste genoemd.1-4
