No change in non-mandatory reporting by healthcare staff on under 16s

RCN welcomes government’s revised safeguarding guidance

The Royal College of Nursing has welcomed the publication of revised guidance on safeguarding children and young people which maintains the present situation whereby healthcare staff are not automatically required to inform social services whenever a child or young person independently seeks medical assistance.
