I enjoyed reading the four themed papers on qualitative research in this issue of Nurse Researcher. The first two threw down the gauntlet with provoking and challenging arguments about the need to use new paradigms in nursing research, and the next two focused on the needs of novice researchers, taking them through the morass of qualitative data analysis.
